Role Overview
The Media Coordinator will help run daily operations within the Media Supply Chain function, making sure digital media assets are tracked, processed, coordinated, and delivered accurately across multiple platforms and partners. This position partners with Content Operations, QC, Fulfillment, and Distribution teams to support high-volume media work, maintain timelines, and keep deliverables and assets ready for launch. The role suits someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, comfortable handling several priorities at once, and able to work in a fast-moving, deadline-based environment.
Work Location and Type
This role is based in New York, NY and follows a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside programming, production, business, and operations teams to coordinate content requests, tracking, and the movement of localization assets such as video, subtitles, metadata, dubbing, and accessibility materials.
- Monitor launch schedules, broadcast timelines, processing windows, and delivery checkpoints for both linear and non-linear platforms.
- Help manage larger media initiatives by keeping task trackers, schedules, documentation, and deliverable lists current, while flagging delays and unresolved items when needed.
- Register ingested content, perform quality checks, and verify metadata before assets are handed off to internal or external distribution channels.
- Maintain organized operational trackers, systems records, and project documentation.
- Draft and share status updates on content readiness, delivery progress, schedules, and operational risks with leaders and stakeholders.
- Support distributor and vendor onboarding activities that enable content delivery workflows.
- Coordinate internally to collect missing assets, schedule elements, and related media files.
- Resolve operational issues that arise during content preparation, asset creation, processing, and delivery.
- Provide administrative and operational assistance for team projects and other assigned initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in digital media, broadcast media, content operations, project coordination, or a media supply chain setting.
- An undergraduate degree is preferred, though equivalent technical training and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Strong ability to organize work and coordinate projects while handling several priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent customer service and follow-through skills.
- Preferred: familiarity with media acquisition, production, packaging, delivery, and distribution processes.
- Preferred: experience supporting teams or customers across multiple time zones in a 24-hour operating environment.
- Preferred: understanding of Digital Asset Management, scheduling tools, rights management, or finance systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with entertainment and media programming operations.
- Preferred: knowledge of broadcast or digital media operational equipment and workflows.
Compensation and Benefits
This contract role offers a base pay range of $29.50 to $39.50 per hour, depending on experience, role level, and location. Pay within the range is influenced by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, and training.
