Role overview

Platform Property Care is looking for a Multi-skill Trades Plumber to join its repairs and maintenance team in Hereford and Leominster. The position is focused mainly on plumbing, while experience across other trade areas would be an advantage. The job involves helping keep customers’ homes safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard.

This is a varied mobile role where each day can bring different tasks and customer situations. The work is demanding, and high standards are expected, but you will be supported by a strong team environment.

What the role involves

• Carry out plumbing work as the main trade focus.
• Support wider repairs and maintenance tasks where multi-trade experience is useful.
• Work in customers’ homes and deliver a professional, respectful service.
• Complete jobs accurately and aim to get the work right the first time.
• Manage your workload effectively and keep tasks moving to schedule.
• Take part in the out-of-hours rota when required, with extra earnings available.

Because the job is based in people’s homes, you’ll need to be approachable, friendly, and strong in communication and customer service. Good organisation and a commitment to efficient, high-quality work are also important.

Required experience and qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing.
• Practical experience working as a plumber in the construction or building trade.
• Experience with a social landlord, housing association, or council is preferred.
• Previous multi-trade delivery experience is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep work on track.
• Ability to complete jobs promptly and efficiently.
• A full, valid driving licence is required.
• A DBS check is required because the role involves working in customers’ homes.

Additional information

This position is part of a team based in Hereford and Leominster, so candidates must live in that area. The role is mobile and requires a current valid driving licence; applications cannot be progressed without one.

The role sits within Platform Housing Group through Platform Property Care, a long-established property maintenance business focused on growth and a skilled, engaged workforce. The team works on a Stonewater contract.
