Role overview

Westmade Ltd is an established building maintenance and refurbishment contractor working across reactive repairs, planned maintenance, void refurbishments and capital works. The business supports social housing, healthcare, education and commercial clients.

Because the company is growing, it is looking to add Multi-Trade Operatives to its teams covering Dorset, Hampshire and nearby areas.

Working pattern and location

The position is based in Dorset and surrounding areas. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with optional weekend work available.

What the job involves

The successful candidate will handle a broad mix of maintenance and refurbishment tasks in both occupied homes and empty properties, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

• Carpentry repairs and installations
• Minor plumbing repairs that do not require Gas Safe registration
• Kitchen and bathroom repairs and replacements
• Patch plastering and general making good
• Wall and floor tiling
• Painting and decorating
• Flooring repair work
• General property maintenance
• Reactive repair tasks
• Planned maintenance assignments
• Refurbishment of void properties

What Westmade is looking for

The ideal operative will already have hands-on experience across more than one trade and will be able to work on their own initiative. A strong focus on workmanship, reliability, professionalism and customer service is essential, along with a full UK driving licence.
