Role Overview
JadeClass Education Singapore is seeking lively, confident, and flexible teachers to join its online mathematics program. The organization will supply the learners, digital teaching tools, lesson framework, and supporting materials needed to help you teach effectively.
The role is built for educators who can follow a fixed timetable of at least two classes per week and can begin in July. Compensation is offered for teaching time and, when required, for an initial preview recording of a lesson.
About the School
JadeClass Education Singapore delivers enrichment learning to high-achieving students who already have strong English skills and are preparing to continue their studies overseas. The team creates and runs both classroom-based and online instruction in English and STEM. Students are typically between 6 and 16 years old and are screened for English ability, conduct, and motivation. The teaching approach emphasizes practical skills that support long-term academic success.
Responsibilities
- Lead interactive, high-energy online math sessions for groups of up to eight learners.
- Review lesson materials and, when needed, create a prep recording to maintain teaching quality.
- Deliver the full sequence of scheduled classes consistently, without absences or rescheduling.
Schedule
Class timings are arranged according to student and teacher availability. Typical teaching windows are:
- Fall/Spring term: Friday from 18:00 to 21:00 (UTC+8)
- Fall/Spring term: Saturday and Sunday from 08:30 to 20:30 (UTC+8)
- Summer term: Monday and Thursday from 08:30 to 20:30 (UTC+8)
- Summer term: Wednesday and Saturday from 08:30 to 20:30 (UTC+8)
Course Format
Each online math class is run with one teacher and 6 to 8 students. Sessions last 90 minutes and are conducted on the ClassIn platform. Teaching follows course materials and presentation slides prepared internally, and the school provides training as well as ongoing support.
Technology Requirements
- A fast, dependable internet connection with at least 20 Mbps upload and download speed.
- A modern and reliable computer with a CPU benchmark score above 10,000.
Application Process
Applicants are expected to submit a resume, a YouTube or Vimeo introduction video describing their teaching background, a screenshot of device specifications, a speed test result from speedtest.net, the source where they came across the role, and the exact position title they are applying for.
Compensation
Pay is based on the lesson type. New lessons are compensated at 100 USD per 90-minute class, which equals 66 USD per hour. Repeated lessons are paid at 75 USD per 90-minute class, or 50 USD per hour. Teaching compensation covers the actual lesson delivery time only and does not include material review or preview-video recording time.
For the first time a lesson is taught, the school may request a preview recording without students. If so, an additional 25 USD is paid for that recording.
Payments are made through Wise on a monthly basis, between the 10th and 12th of each month.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is experienced, organized, dependable, and able to maintain a clear schedule. A strong fit will also bring a positive attitude, an engaging presence, and a neat, professional appearance.
Additional Requirements
Teachers should be able to explain math ideas in a simple, logical, and easy-to-follow way, and they should be comfortable combining their own teaching style with the school’s established standards. Strong spoken English with clear pronunciation is required.
Important Notes
The school expects teachers to commit to a regular schedule of at least two classes each week, and the role is intended to start in July. Lessons are designed for small groups of 6 to 8 students and are delivered online.
