About The Job

Are you ready to spearhead the next wave of nutrition innovation in Australia and New Zealand? As the Product Development Manager, you will oversee a significant and impactful portfolio encompassing innovation, renovation, productivity, and supply security for specialized nutrition products destined for export markets. Reporting to the R&I Director ANZ, you will collaborate closely with various departments, guiding product development from initial concept through to successful factory implementation, ensuring superior product quality while upholding Danone’s 'One Planet. One Health' philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and cultivate a high-achieving team, fostering skill development, engagement, and future leadership succession.
• Direct and prioritize the ANZ Product Development project pipeline, covering innovation, renovation, productivity, and supply assurance initiatives.
• Manage the complete product development lifecycle, from formulation and testing to scaling up and market launch, ensuring meticulous documentation.
• Collaborate with global Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Medical, and R&I teams to define and execute a strong innovation strategy.
• Guarantee that products meet all nutritional, sustainability, safety, and regulatory standards, while optimizing cost and quality.
• Provide expert technical guidance to resolve intricate challenges related to products, processes, or compliance.
• Oversee risk management, safeguard intellectual property, and support the evaluation of suppliers and third-party partners.
• Act as a prominent safety advocate, embodying Danone’s core values and inclusive principles.

About You

You are a decisive and collaborative leader adept at navigating complex, fast-paced environments and translating strategic objectives into tangible actions. With extensive product development expertise, you excel at leading teams, fostering cross-functional partnerships, and balancing quality, compliance, sustainability, and cost to deliver impactful nutritional solutions.

Requirements

• A degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
• Substantial experience in Product Development, preferably within the FMCG sector, with a focus on dairy or specialized nutrition.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing extensive project portfolios.
• A thorough understanding of the end-to-end innovation and product development processes.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks pertinent to the ANZ and Asian markets.
• Exceptional ability to influence, communicate effectively, and collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders.
• An inclusive, human-centered, and accountable leadership approach.
• Proficiency with digital tools and a readiness to embrace evolving technologies and modern work methodologies.
