Product Manager

Position Summary

This role focuses on shaping and executing product direction, supporting research efforts, and overseeing the launch and release of parts for regional vehicle applications. The goal is to maximize revenue while ensuring every part meets fit, form, and function standards and satisfies or exceeds original equipment specifications for the assigned product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Put product plans into action and build product platforms that broaden application coverage and improve revenue using relevant data sources, while staying aligned with market expectations around quality, pricing, features, and value.
• Research OE part numbers and rank applications with the highest potential for expansion.
• Find sourcing partners and work closely with sourcing teams to confirm the validity of sourced components.
• Work with MDM and item release teams to create and keep updated new part records.
• Take part in quality checks and validation testing for parts within the product line.
• Coordinate with catalog teams to produce coverage reports and customer-facing communications.
• Lead regular business reviews and track important KPIs tied to revenue, coverage, and margins.
• Stay current on market movements and trends affecting the relevant product categories.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or another relevant discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
• At least 10 years of combined experience in product management, engineering, or research, ideally in the automotive aftermarket or industrial distribution space.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOM documentation.
• Clear track record in process improvement, project execution, product launches, and new product releases.
• Prior exposure to automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, or adjacent industries such as industrial products or B2B/B2C eCommerce is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of product and catalog management platforms.
• Experience handling data and content in ERP, PIM, ACES/PIES, and TecDoc environments.
• Strong command of product and project management tools, MDM systems, and data analytics solutions.
• Solid experience with data governance, master data cleanup, and ownership structures.
• Change management experience, especially in moving from decentralized to centralized operating models.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Comfort with data-led decision-making, scorecards, and KPI management.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-moving, matrixed, remote-first environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
• Fluency in English is required; Spanish is an advantage.
