Project Engineer WRM

Role overview

This role focuses on overseeing mechanical project execution at site, with responsibility for coordinating installation, commissioning, testing, planning, and control activities so that work is completed within the agreed timeline, cost, quality, and safety expectations.

Key activities

• Lead and monitor mechanical works at the project location.
• Work closely with civil, electrical, and contractor teams to keep execution aligned.
• Handle installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Track schedules, quantities, and project costs on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare status updates, progress reports, and related project records.
• Support preparation and review of tender documents and evaluate engineering drawings from consultants and vendors.

Relevant experience

Experience in mechanical project delivery for industrial or infrastructure assignments is relevant, especially in equipment erection and commissioning, piping, structural and rotating equipment work, fuel oil handling systems, hydraulic power packs, and gearboxes.

Technical knowledge and capabilities

• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and GA drawings.
• Hands-on understanding of equipment erection and commissioning workflows.
• Working knowledge of piping, welding, and fabrication activities.
• Ability to measure quantities and track BOQ items.
• Basic planning and reporting proficiency using MS Excel or MS Project.
• Awareness of safety norms and quality standards.
