Role overview
Brian Perry Civil is looking for a Project Manager to take charge of the performance of its precast yard in Wellington. This position carries end-to-end accountability for delivery against programme, budget, and quality targets across several projects. It is a leadership-focused role where you will guide direction, control risks, and ensure the yard functions as a dependable support unit for project teams.
What the role involves
- Take ownership of outcomes related to safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Direct engineers, supervisors, and work crews within yard operations.
- Shape production plans so output matches project requirements and timelines.
- Oversee commercial results, including budgets, margins, and exposure to risk.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Maintain consistent planning, reporting, and operational standards across the yard.
What you need to succeed
- A relevant engineering qualification along with substantial experience in construction.
- A demonstrated history of delivering complex projects or operational work.
- Solid capability in financial and commercial management.
- Experience leading teams and supporting the development of people.
- The ability to balance multiple priorities across a broad project environment.
- Confidence engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
