Project Safety Supervisor

Role Overview

Safe Resolutions Consulting is hiring a Project Safety Supervisor for an immediate start on a battery energy storage system (BESS) project about 50 km north of Perth CBD. The role is tied to a major renewable energy developer, with ongoing opportunities to support additional solar, wind, and battery storage projects. As the client continues to expand, there may be scope to contribute to other large-scale renewable developments across Australia.

What You'll Be Doing

You will oversee how principal contractors and subcontractors comply with their own safety management systems as well as the client’s requirements for the solar farm project. This includes regular site inspections, spotting hazards, analysing trends in incident and safety data, reviewing incident investigations, checking that the SHMS is working effectively, and suggesting corrective actions to reduce risk.

Support and Working Environment

You will receive coaching and mentoring from other members of the Safe Resolutions team. The position requires someone who can operate in a busy project environment, manage changing priorities, and communicate clearly with different stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

A Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred, or a Certificate IV supported by practical industry experience. The role also requires at least 5 years of experience in health and safety, along with hands-on exposure. Suitable backgrounds include BESS and renewable construction, general construction/civil works, mining, or maintenance/fabrication.

Key Capabilities

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, along with the ability to prepare detailed reports and audit documentation. A sound understanding of WHS obligations and industry standards is essential, as is a valid driver’s licence.
