Primary Purpose Of The Job
The primary objective of this role is to establish and maintain a comprehensive and effective performance reporting system for portfolios, programs, and projects. This capability, supported by enterprise systems and digital platforms, aims to facilitate informed and timely decision-making for Project Services and Directorate leadership.
Required Experience And Skills
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in performance reporting, business intelligence, or business analysis, specifically within the context of large-scale projects or portfolios, with a preference for experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving project and portfolio performance reports and dashboards, ensuring they meet corporate and directorate requirements.
- Act as the primary business liaison for project and portfolio performance reporting systems, ensuring seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA (PS/EPPM) and other enterprise reporting platforms.
- Collaborate closely with ICT and system owners to translate business performance and reporting needs into functional system and data models.
- Develop and manage business intelligence dashboards, analytics, and trend reports to provide actionable insights into cost, schedule, progress, risks, and overall project performance.
- Coordinate, consolidate, and synthesize information from project teams, Planning, Cost & Budget departments, and subject matter experts to generate clear, executive-level management reports and presentations.
- Enhance portfolio-level visibility and enable cross-project analysis by identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement to support management oversight.
- Identify and champion opportunities for automating and digitalizing reporting and performance management processes, including preparing business cases, defining functional requirements, and supporting benefits realization.
- Analyze process and system performance data to drive initiatives focused on efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders, including Projects, Planning, Cost, and ICT departments, to ensure data integrity, reporting consistency, and strategic alignment.
Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A strong understanding of project and portfolio management principles is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP and project systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA (PS / EPPM), is necessary.
- Proficiency in analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills is crucial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation abilities are required.
