ജോലി വിവരണം
About the role
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is recognised internationally for delivering outstanding patient care, education, and research. Through its partnership with the Institute of Cancer Research, it forms the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe. The Chelsea Radiotherapy department is equipped with four Varian TrueBeam systems, a CyberKnife unit, and a brachytherapy suite, along with a Siemens Confidence CT scanner and multi-modality imaging for treatment planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for band 5 radiographers who want to deepen their clinical knowledge and build broad treatment experience. The role is based at the Chelsea site in London and offers the chance to work in a highly advanced radiotherapy environment alongside experienced, caring professionals committed to excellent patient care.
You will receive training and support to develop confidence in delivering advanced radiotherapy techniques, including IMRT, VMAT, VIBH, and IGRT.
What you will do
In this post, you will carry out radiotherapy procedures in a specialist and highly complex environment. Your base may include a treatment unit, brachytherapy unit, CT scanner, VS area, or treatment preparation area, depending on service needs and allocation. You will perform duties accurately and carefully in line with prescribed clinical requirements and contribute to clinical research activity where appropriate.
You will also work closely with medical, physics, nursing, clerical, and support colleagues across the department and wider organisation, with senior radiographers forming your main day-to-day professional link.
About the trust
The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre dedicated to providing patients with the best cancer care available and contributing globally to better ways of diagnosing and treating cancer. The organisation employs more than 4,500 staff across nursing, medicine, science, radiography, pharmacy, occupational therapy, finance, and administrative services. Its sites include hospitals in Chelsea, London and Sutton, Surrey, plus a Medical Daycare Unit at Kingston Hospital.
The trust places excellence at the centre of its work and offers a lively, supportive environment with a range of staff benefits, learning and development opportunities, and clear career pathways. Flexible working across different areas and specialties may be available, and flexible working requests are welcomed from the start of employment to help support work-life balance.
