Role Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will take ownership of leading the sales organization to deliver revenue goals, expand market coverage, and deepen customer relationships. The role calls for setting direction for the sales team, monitoring performance, forecasting results, and working with other business functions to support steady growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and execute sales plans that support Opella’s business objectives.
- Guide, coach, and inspire the sales team to achieve or surpass targets.
- Define individual and team goals and track progress on an ongoing basis.
- Review sales figures, market movement, and customer requirements to spot growth opportunities.
- Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and performance updates for senior leadership, while partnering with the Sales Force Effectiveness team to evaluate team performance.
- Maintain strong working relationships with major customers and business partners.
- Hire, train, and integrate new members into the sales team.
- Work closely with Brand & Innovation, Science, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve sales outcomes.
- Make sure company policies, pricing rules, and contract terms are followed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar discipline.
- Background as a Sales Manager, with FMCG or FMCH experience considered an advantage.
- Strong ability to lead people, coach teams, and manage performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Solid analytical capability, with strong attention to forecast accuracy and reporting quality.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and implement strategic sales plans.
- Comfort using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
- A results-oriented approach with strong commercial awareness.
