Role overview
Heritage Lifecare is looking for a Registered Nurse to join St Joseph's Lifecare in Upper Hutt, Wellington. This is a permanent full-time role in a care home with hospital-level care, offering the chance to contribute to the wellbeing of residents in a supportive, compassionate setting.

Working arrangement

Key duties
In this role, you will help ensure residents receive high-quality nursing care with kindness, patience, and a positive attitude. You will work closely with residents, families, and the wider care team to maintain a safe and caring environment.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with prior experience, either in New Zealand or overseas, and hold a current APC. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities are important, along with a genuine commitment to helping people and contributing to a positive team culture.
You should also bring empathy, drive, and a practical understanding of health and safety expectations, together with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Guide and support a team of caregivers to deliver quality resident care
- Create and review care plans according to resident needs
- Perform clinical assessments
- Build trusting relationships with residents, families, and GPs
- Assist the Clinical Services Manager and Care Home Manager
