Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Tirupati Urban for an RSO Level 2 professional. The role focuses on radiation safety governance, including tracking radiation sources, keeping precise records, and ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The selected professional will carry out routine inspections and radiation surveys, ensure radioactive materials are handled, stored, and disposed of safely, and work with internal teams to maintain safety readiness and emergency response preparedness. The position also includes coaching employees on radiation protection practices, evaluating risks, and preparing reports and documentation for statutory authorities. Close coordination with operations, maintenance, and EHS teams will be essential to support compliant and efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualification & Experience

A valid RSO Level 2 certification is required, along with 2 to 3 years of practical experience in radiation safety or a related area. Candidates should have strong working knowledge of radiation safety rules, compliance expectations, and standards applicable to industrial or manufacturing environments. Experience in monitoring, conducting surveys, maintaining records, and submitting reports to internal and external stakeholders is important. The role also calls for the ability to build and refine radiation protection procedures, emergency response plans, and training content, as well as familiarity with safety management systems, risk assessment methods, and broader EHS practices.

Additional Competencies

The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills, capable of training and influencing teams across functions and levels. Analytical thinking, documentation accuracy, problem-solving ability, and a detail-oriented, proactive approach to safety are also important. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Physics, Engineering, Radiological Safety, or a similar discipline is preferred, and advanced radiation protection training will be an added advantage. The candidate must be willing to work on-site in Tirupati Urban and coordinate closely with cross-functional teams.
