Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative will own early-stage pipeline creation for the ANZ region, focused on the enterprise segment with organizations of 2,000+ employees. This role is centered on finding, engaging, and qualifying potential customers through inbound and outbound outreach. The SDR will uncover business needs, build interest, and create qualified opportunities that support revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
- Drive new business creation through outbound and inbound activity across email, calls, social channels, events, and campaigns in the ANZ enterprise market.
- Research, assess, and qualify prospects by learning about their priorities, pain points, and buying readiness.
- Build and run outreach sequences, including tailored email messaging and cold calls, to open accounts and create engagement.
- Work with current customers when required to spot upsell or expansion opportunities within the relevant segment or product.
- Guide prospects through the early buying journey and help move them toward meetings or the next commercial step.
- Keep CRM records and sales engagement platforms accurate, current, and complete.
- Coordinate closely with Account Executives to ensure a clean transfer of qualified opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other internal partners to improve messaging, lead generation, and workflow efficiency.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals tied to qualified meetings, SQLs, and pipeline generation.
- Take part in ongoing coaching, training, and professional development.
Requirements
- You must be based in Australia or New Zealand.
- At least 3 years of prior SDR experience is required.
- Background in sales development, business development, or outbound commercial roles is expected.
- You should be comfortable engaging prospects across multiple channels and communicating clearly and persuasively.
- Success in a fast-moving, high-growth, and remote-friendly setting is important.
- You need to be highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage several outreach priorities at once.
- A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline targets is expected.
- You should be able to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems without heavy supervision.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales engagement tools will be an advantage.
- An entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset and flexibility when processes or priorities change are important.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write effective outreach and campaign sequences, are required.
- Experience in HR tech, fintech, or startup environments is useful but not mandatory.
