Position Summary
The Sales Manager will lead sales activity within an assigned district, overseeing the performance and growth of the sales team. This role is responsible for building profitability, expanding the customer base, and guiding both Sales Associates and clients through training, support, and strategic direction. The position is expected to align sales execution with the company’s vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a market-specific sales plan and strategy that supports revenue targets and profitability goals.
- Oversee the performance and professional growth of Sales Associates.
- Develop action plans for individuals and the team to generate leads and identify prospects effectively.
- Lead initiatives to enter and grow in new markets.
- Support the creation and rollout of marketing plans when needed.
- Hold regular one-on-one check-ins with Sales Associates to improve communication, identify training needs, and strengthen performance.
- Share timely updates with senior leadership on team and market performance.
- Prepare accurate, competitive pricing recommendations for completed prospect applications while protecting margin.
- Help Sales Associates build proposals and presentations.
- Manage spending to stay within budget limits.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards are understood and followed by the team.
- Recruit and hire Sales Associates according to criteria approved by senior management.
- Carry out additional related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience and Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of sales experience.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong background in relationship management across all relevant areas.
- Clear understanding of customer behavior, market trends, and business requirements.
- Readiness to travel and collaborate effectively within a professional team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide sales teams.
