Role overview

Fiveways School is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable cleaner to help keep the school environment clean and hygienic for pupils with special needs. The role involves working as part of a caring school community that values every contribution and works cooperatively to deliver the best possible support for pupils.

Working pattern and pay

This position offers an approximate gross annual salary of £7,965, which works out at around £663 per month. The post is for 44 working weeks each year, made up of 39 term-time weeks plus 5 weeks of holiday working. You will work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, for 12.5 hours per week in total, which is 2.5 hours each day. Usual working times are between 15:30 and 20:30, and the exact hours can be agreed within that window. The role is expected to begin as soon as possible.

The school follows a strong safeguarding approach when recruiting and is committed to protecting the welfare of children. Candidates must be prepared to complete child protection screening, including checks with current and previous employers, an enhanced DBS check, and online checks during shortlisting in line with KCSiE guidance. References will be requested before interview.
