Role Overview

Forge is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join its Analytics team in New York. This is a high-impact individual contributor position focused on turning data into strategic guidance for Product, Marketing, Finance, and senior leaders. The role involves building datasets, automating reporting, developing predictive analytics and attribution models, and helping shape how the company measures marketplace growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Use SQL, Python, and related analytics tools to study business trends, uncover opportunities, and deliver insights that influence product and company strategy.
• Create forecasting tools and predictive models in Python to support growth planning, product efficiency, and marketplace decisions using internal user data and external go-to-market data.
• Develop and maintain datasets, dashboards, and reporting workflows in tools such as Snowflake, Segment, Looker, and Heap so teams can access dependable insights.
• Streamline repetitive reporting and analytical tasks through Python-based automation.
• Present analysis through concise narratives, charts, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Strengthen data quality, consistency, and documentation to support scalable and trustworthy analytics infrastructure.
• Plan and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments in LaunchDarkly to support product decisions and assess impact.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in analytics, product analytics, data science, or a similar discipline.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex querying, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong Python experience for analysis, automation, visualization, forecasting, and modeling, with 2+ years of practical use.
• Experience with BI and data visualization platforms, preferably Looker or Tableau, and with data warehouses such as Snowflake.
• Solid understanding of experimental design and A/B testing, ideally with exposure to LaunchDarkly and Heap.
• Proven ability to build predictive models and apply statistical methods to business challenges.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into technical analysis.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating across functions and balancing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• An undergraduate degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related area.

Additional Requirements

Physical requirements for the role include using a computer for 8 hours per day and sharing detailed information verbally and in writing.

Compensation

For candidates based in New York, New York, the annual salary range is $98,000 to $100,000+, plus an annual bonus. Final compensation may differ depending on geography, experience, expertise, bonus, and other factors.
