Role Summary

The Senior Director, KF Operations, Processes is responsible for strengthening operational excellence across the Foundation and the broader KIPP network. This leader will define, own, and continuously improve the main processes and systems that help the organization function effectively in support of regions, schools, and students. The position sets the long-term direction and multi-year plan for how internal processes are structured, governed, connected, and enhanced, and reports to the SVP, People and Ops.

Key Responsibilities

This position leads process strategy, cross-functional coordination, system design, and change adoption across KF and network operations.

  • Create and maintain a multi-year plan for improving KF and network processes, including areas such as project management and knowledge management.
  • Act as the organization-wide owner for key operational processes, with clear accountability, ownership, and long-term sustainability.
  • Make sure processes stay aligned with KF’s strategic priorities and help the organization operate in a coordinated, high-performing way.
  • Design, manage, and refine cross-functional processes that support KF and the network, including knowledge management, the network feedback loop, contact management, and KIPP Pulse.
  • Review process performance regularly and improve systems using data, input from stakeholders, and evolving organizational needs.
  • Strengthen connections between related processes, such as talent-based goal setting, finance-led budgeting, and operations-led planning.
  • Work with senior leaders and functional teams to build shared understanding, assign clear roles, and encourage strong adoption of key processes.
  • Partner with IT and other teams to select, design, and govern the tools and systems used to carry out operational processes.
  • Lead change management for new and evolving processes by setting expectations, building training structures, and reinforcing new ways of working.

The role can be performed remotely full time. Being based in a KIPP Foundation office is preferred but not required. KIPP Foundation offices are located in New York City and Chicago.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $156,000 to $188,500 annually, subject to local legal requirements and adjusted based on market data, internal equity, and relevant experience.
