Senior Supply Chain Planner

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join a leading global healthcare manufacturing organization at their Athlone, Ireland facility. This is a critical, strategic position focused on transforming long-term demand projections into a detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) and an optimized capacity plan. The goal is to maintain superior customer service levels within a strictly regulated manufacturing setting. This is a permanent contract with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead capacity planning initiatives and aggregate demand-to-hours modeling.
• Formulate and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Ensure alignment between demand, supply, and site capacity through effective Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Proactively identify potential risks related to inventory, materials, and production limitations.
• Conduct thorough analysis and present planning performance metrics to senior management.
• Champion and implement continuous improvements in planning systems and methodologies.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement, finance, quality assurance, and the global supply chain teams.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in capacity management, inventory optimization strategies, and production planning techniques.
• Proficiency with advanced ERP/APS systems such as SAP, Oracle, ASCP, MRP, or similar planning software.
• Advanced analytical skills, including strong data analysis capabilities and expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• A proven track record of successfully influencing senior-level stakeholders.
• Prior experience in regulated manufacturing sectors like medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other healthcare industries is highly advantageous.
