Software Engineer

Role overview

This position is for a Software Engineer who enjoys creating dependable, scalable IT solutions and turning new product ideas into working software. The role calls for someone who can clarify requirements, remove uncertainty, and help deliver software from initial concept through to production.

What you will do

• Build and evolve new software products using modern engineering tools and agile ways of working.
• Take a proactive, problem-solving approach to support delivery in time-sensitive projects.
• Work with enterprise and security architects to align solutions with hosting and security platforms.
• Use up-to-date development practices to maintain strong design quality and reliable implementation.
• Deliver high-quality software that is robust, scalable, and able to integrate smoothly with enterprise systems and access channels.
• Review business needs, design technical solutions, and develop components that progressively improve the product.
• Write code that is secure, stable, scalable, and production-ready.
• Help resolve urgent defects and deploy fixes into production environments.
• Partner with global IT teams to deliver shared outcomes effectively.

Team environment

You will join an agile setup where crews are organized around larger products and services, with multiple independent pods contributing to the same client outcomes. The stream focuses on digital trading access and end-to-end solutions across the securities trading lifecycle.

The role sits within the Trading and Transfer of Assets stream in the Receiving Services Post-Trade area. You will contribute to strategic post-trade solutions with a strong emphasis on tax-related services, supporting the UBS Global Wealth Management business across Europe and APAC. Close collaboration with global business and IT teams will be important to ensure the services remain scalable, compliant, and well integrated with upstream trading platforms.
