Storage Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Storage Administrator to manage enterprise storage systems for an assignment based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on keeping storage infrastructure reliable, secure, and available for business-critical workloads.

Core Responsibilities

• Take ownership of NetApp ONTAP and HPE storage environments, including 3PAR, Nimble, and Primera platforms.
• Set up and maintain storage objects such as LUNs, volumes, and file shares.
• Administer SAN and NAS setups across Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS/SMB protocols.
• Track storage health, utilization, throughput, and capacity trends.
• Build and maintain replication and backup mechanisms such as SnapMirror and Remote Copy.
• Investigate and resolve storage-related slowdowns, incidents, and service interruptions.
• Carry out firmware updates and patching to keep systems current.
• Support data protection, disaster recovery readiness, and high-availability objectives.
• Collaborate with server, database, and application teams to meet infrastructure needs.
• Work with external vendors when escalation or product-level support is required.

Required Technical Background

• Hands-on understanding of SAN and NAS storage architecture.
• Practical experience with NetApp ONTAP administration.
• Working knowledge of HPE storage systems, including 3PAR, Nimble, and Primera.
• Familiarity with storage communication methods such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
• Knowledge of RAID configurations, disk technologies, and storage tiering concepts.
• Exposure to snapshots, replication tools, and related data protection features.

Other Requirements

This position requires a transferable Iqama.

The expected experience level is 8+ years in storage administration or a closely related infrastructure role.
