Supply Chain Specialist

Role overview

Verizon is hiring a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support planning operations and help keep inventory flowing efficiently across a wide range of products and services. In this role, you will use forecasting, analytics, and cross-functional coordination to improve supply health, support service levels, and strengthen working capital performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day supply planning and inventory optimization activities across Verizon’s product and service portfolio.
• Run replenishment planning and forecasting work while meeting required timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and put practical solutions in place that benefit the business.
• Maintain adequate supply levels to support service targets while balancing inventory and working capital goals.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to support sound planning decisions.
• Work with cross-functional project teams to deliver agreed objectives and milestones.
• Support continuous improvement efforts in operations and inventory optimization.
• Adjust inventory strategy based on demand changes, promotions, and market shifts.
• Present launch readiness supply plans to senior leadership and raise supply risks during S&OP reviews.
• Use the IBP planning system to create daily replenishment plans and keep SKU and master data settings accurate.
• Complete weekly inventory valuation and projection tasks using internal tools and templates.

What the employer is looking for

The role calls for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience, along with strong commercial judgement, relationship management ability, and communication skills. You should also be comfortable preparing and delivering executive-level presentations.

Preferred background

• Prior experience in supply chain or planning, ideally within telecom or a high-tech environment.
• Hands-on exposure to planning, replenishment, S&OP, IBP, and SAP.
• Ability to use analytical methods such as optimization, simulation, data mining, and statistics to strengthen models and supply chain decisions.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, plus excellent attention to detail and administrative capability.
• Experience leading inventory improvement efforts with a focus on supply planning, inventory optimization, CPFR, and S&OP.
• Experience working with vendors and managing a group of suppliers effectively.

Work arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland. The role has a defined work location with a mix of work-from-home and office days scheduled by the manager. The standard weekly schedule is 37.5 hours.
