Role Overview
Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is a global leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power units for commercial, military, and business aviation. The company also contributes to defense technologies and advanced manufacturing solutions that support customers with critical needs.
This position is based onsite in Singapore at Tuas Drive 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out visual and dimensional checks on aircraft engine components.
- Verify aircraft parts against technical drawings, work instructions, and specification standards.
- Handle incoming inspection, in-process checks, and final inspection of repairable parts and components routed to the cell.
- Apply the product’s inspection limits, tolerances, and procedures as defined by the manufacturer.
- Take part in audits and inspection activities whenever needed.
- Support EH&S initiatives and personally follow all required safety practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, CORE activities, and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- A diploma in engineering or another relevant technical field is preferred.
- Candidates without a diploma may still be considered if they have suitable work experience.
- At least 2 years of related experience in visual inspection and the use of inspection tools/equipment.
- Applicants with no direct experience but a strong interest in aerospace, including mid-career changers, are also encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to pass a vision assessment using the Jaeger #1 test chart at no less than 12 inches, as well as a color vision test.
- Should have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Must be able to understand basic technical drawings and standard operating procedures.
- Must be willing to work rotating day and night shifts and overtime when required.
Preferred Background
- Experience or exposure in aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
