Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity based in Riccarton, Christchurch. The role is designed for someone who wants to take an early step into management and grow with The Warehouse.

Working hours: Sunday to Thursday, 7:00am to 4:00pm.

What the role involves

As Trading 2IC, you will support the Trading Manager across all shopfloor-related activities, with a particular focus on the Entertainment and Technology departments as well as Price Integrity. You will help lead the teams in these areas, promote safe working practices, and make sure all trading obligations are followed correctly. You will also be responsible for keeping planograms up to date and ensuring promotions are implemented accurately.

Applicants must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Experience and personal qualities

• Prior retail experience is preferred.
• Leadership capability and the confidence to guide others are important.
• A strong focus on customers and in-store service is required.
• You should have clear and effective communication skills.
