About Lumos
Lumos builds an Autonomous Identity Platform that helps companies control who can access what, and whether they should. The product helps prevent security issues caused by excessive permissions, reduces friction from overly restricted access, and connects applications, identities, and data. Customers include GitHub, MongoDB, Mars, Pinterest, Anduril, Intercom, Roku, and Netskope. At the core of the platform is Albus, an AI agent for identity that can analyze roles, approve access, and identify access drift that people may overlook.
This role will contribute to work used every day by large IT and security teams, in a space that is still being defined. The company is preparing for a Series C fundraising round and is hiring a VP/SVP of Finance to report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities
- Design the financial plan that supports the company’s path from the current stage to $100M ARR over the next three years.
- Lead the shift from seat-based pricing to an AI-driven pricing model that accounts for agents and AI identities.
- Build a finance organization that is highly efficient and uses AI to multiply output.
- Maintain a disciplined finance operating cadence with accurate reporting, controlled spending, and strong banking and compliance practices.
- Partner closely with the Head of Sales, Head of Engineering, COO, and CEO to strengthen decision-making across the leadership team.
- Own investor relations, board communication, capital strategy, and banker relationships so the company stays ready for the next financing round.
Requirements
- Experience as the #2 or #3 finance leader at a private company with $100M+ in revenue, or as a Head of Finance at a scaling company.
- Proven experience closing a funding round.
- Experience creating a capacity model for a sales-led enterprise go-to-market motion.
- Ability to distinguish between incremental improvement and larger-scale transformation, with a track record of driving transformational change.
- Comfort working in an AI-native way and using tools such as Claude or similar on a daily basis.
- Ability to identify issues and inconsistencies early, while also knowing when to defer to operating leaders.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to contribute both at a tactical and strategic level.
- Experience hiring effectively and participating in major company decisions.
