Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor

Role overview

The Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor is in charge of day-to-day warehouse and shipping operations, with a strong focus on EHS, quality, and efficient execution within a rotating shift crew.

This role follows a 12-hour rotating shift schedule: 4 days on morning/night shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM), then 4 days off.

Team structure

The supervisor owns the department’s operational activities, leads warehouse and shipping operators, and reports directly to the Warehouse & Shipping Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a workplace that is safe for all team members in the department.
• Continuously identify hazards, review risks, and apply preventive controls aligned with safety vision and risk principles.
• Keep the warehouse and shipping area tidy, organized, and compliant with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Lead and oversee warehouse and shipping staff on a daily basis.
• Ensure plant guidelines and operating procedures are consistently followed and monitored.
• Confirm that tools and equipment remain safe and suitable for use.
• Manage warehouse locations for active products and maintain accurate location records.
• Track warehouse and shipping inventory so supplies stay at healthy levels.
• Observe employee performance, coach team members, and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure full compliance with the pre-shift inspection checklist and take action when issues are found.
• Support the smooth operation of warehouse and shipping activities and help achieve monthly shipping targets.
• Take on other duties as needed based on business requirements.

Basic qualifications

Candidates should have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, along with strong leadership abilities and solid communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Preferred background

A four-year college degree in management, science, or engineering is preferred. Experience in float glass operations may be accepted in place of formal education.
