Role overview

This is a retail dispensary position based in Delray Beach, Florida, reporting to the Dispensary Manager. The role is classified as non-exempt and falls under the Retail Operations department. It focuses on delivering excellent service, clear product guidance, and a compliant in-store experience for Florida medical cannabis patients. The pay range for this role is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Welcome patients, confirm their medical eligibility, and update their purchase allotment information in the point-of-sale system.
• Offer accurate, helpful product education so patients can choose products that fit their needs.
• Handle sales transactions and payments through POS tools while following all compliance requirements.
• Balance cash drawers each day and keep transaction records accurate.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, professional, and patient-friendly store environment.
• Support adjacent teams, including administrative and packaging functions, when operational needs arise.
• Assist with daily store operations such as replenishing shelves and supporting inventory flow.
• Follow company standards, safety procedures, and Florida cannabis rules at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing service is required.
• Experience or familiarity with medical cannabis, product categories, and consumption methods is preferred.
• Understanding of Florida cannabis regulations and patient purchase limits is an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal ability, and active listening are important.
• You should be reliable, punctual, and able to stay professional in a busy setting.
• Comfort using POS systems, basic sales tools, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old and satisfy all Florida requirements for cannabis-related employment.

Education and certifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• Additional training or certifications in customer service, retail, or cannabis-related education are preferred.

Physical and work environment requirements

• The role requires standing for long stretches during a shift.
• Occasional lifting, bending, and reaching up to 25 pounds may be needed.
• You must be able to read labels, verify identification, and handle transactions with good visual accuracy.
• Work is mainly performed in a retail dispensary setting.
• The environment may include changing noise levels and lighting conditions typical of retail spaces.
• Frequent interaction with patients requires discretion and a professional demeanor.

Travel

Minimal travel may be needed for training or to cover shifts at nearby dispensary locations.
