About the role
The team is hiring an Analyst to support the real estate investment group. This position plays a key role in underwriting, portfolio analysis, and business development work across the single-family rental and build-to-rent platform. It is a highly analytical opportunity with exposure to investment decisions and growth strategy, and it is well suited to someone early in their career who wants to develop a strong base in real estate investing.
What you will do
- Assist with underwriting and financial analysis for new investments, partnerships, and business development work, including cash flow, yield, IRR, and scenario analysis.
- Work closely with business development and investment stakeholders to assess opportunities such as builder relationships, portfolio acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Review portfolio performance using measures such as occupancy, rent growth, expenses, and net operating income.
- Create and maintain financial models that support both new deal evaluation and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to guide growth decisions.
- Help prepare investment memos, presentations, and reporting for internal teams.
- Monitor pipeline activity and help keep underwriting, deal strategy, and execution aligned.
- Collaborate across finance, operations, and property management teams.
What the role requires
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4+ years of experience in real estate, investment banking, consulting, FP&A, or another analytical function.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling capability.
- A proactive approach and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Experience working in an AI-enabled workflow.
- Exposure to underwriting, valuation, or business case development.
- Ability to translate data into practical business recommendations.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
Good to have
- Experience with real estate investing, including single-family rental, multifamily, or residential assets.
- Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Sigma, or similar analytics tools.
- Interest in business development, partnerships, or growth strategy.
Location
This role is remote and expected to be based from Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, or Charlotte, North Carolina.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is expected to fall between $80,000 and $95,000, with final pay depending on experience and location. The company notes that compensation may vary across U.S. markets and that the base salary is only one part of the overall package.
