Role overview
This role sits within the Equity Derivatives team, which builds and runs both systematic and discretionary trading strategies across listed and OTC options. The team partners closely with trading, technology, and risk specialists to develop models, create tools, and manage risk in global markets.
We are looking for an analytically strong and technically capable Analyst to join the Equity Derivatives Quant/Trading group. The successful candidate will bring a solid quantitative foundation, experience in systematic research, and a genuine interest in markets. The role involves model development, options analytics, backtesting, and helping expand proprietary trading and risk infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Improve and extend pricing models for equity and index options, including Greek calculations and volatility surface behavior.
- Carry out quantitative research to discover and evaluate systematic trading ideas in derivatives markets.
- Develop and support Python- and SQL-based tools used for research, trading automation, and risk control.
- Create and run thorough backtests to assess signals and strategy performance.
- Support traders by reviewing market conditions, trade structures, and risk exposures.
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning or AI techniques to make research and workflows more efficient.
- Build and maintain internal analytics that help monitor portfolios and risk.
- Work with technology teams to integrate models and tools smoothly into production environments.
- Operate with speed, ownership, and accountability in a demanding trading setting.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
- 2 to 6 years of full-time experience in trading or quantitative research/development.
- Strong coding ability in Python and SQL, with the capacity to write clean, efficient, production-quality code.
- Good command of probability, statistics, and stochastic processes.
- Strong understanding of options pricing, Greeks, volatility modeling, and market microstructure.
- Hands-on experience with quantitative research, systematic strategy development, and backtesting frameworks.
- Ability to use AI/ML tools to automate work or improve research outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving trading environment with high ownership and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Preferred exposure to derivative risk systems or real-time trading tools.
- Preferred familiarity with C++, Java, or similar compiled languages.
- Preferred experience with equities, volatility products, or multi-asset derivatives.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000 per year. Pay will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
