Role overview
Join a large-scale waste management and recycling organisation in Slane, County Meath, where you will begin your journey as an Apprentice Electrician. The role is focused on helping with electrical installation, maintenance, and basic fault-finding across operational sites, while building practical skills alongside experienced, qualified electricians.

What you will do
- Support qualified electricians during electrical installation, testing, and commissioning work.
- Set up tools, materials, and work areas before daily site tasks begin.
- Learn and follow safe isolation, lockout, and testing procedures.
- Complete simple electrical duties under supervision, such as cable pulling, containment, fixings, and terminations.
- Keep work areas clean, orderly, and safe throughout the day.
- Work in line with all safety rules, including RAMS and related site controls.
- Take part in toolbox talks, site inductions, and practical on-the-job training.
- Attend and progress through the SOLAS apprenticeship programme as directed.
What we are looking for
- Completion of the Leaving Cert is required, including at least a C3/O4 grade in Ordinary Level Maths.
- You should be punctual and reliable with strong timekeeping.
- A full clean driving licence is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Offer
Pay will be in line with electrical apprenticeship rates.
