Area Manager

Role Overview

The Manager-I, Operations role focuses on leading a team and keeping communication flowing across different stakeholders so that customer experience and business continuity are protected. This position calls for a solid grasp of the logistics environment, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to identify process gaps and carry improvement ideas through to completion.

What You Will Do

• Run a shift and continuously look for ways to lift team performance while managing the associated change process.
• Use performance measures to guide team output and support business goals.
• Interpret trends, understand their business impact, and make decisions based on data.
• Coordinate with external partners such as carriers and vendors/suppliers, as well as internal groups including finance, ops excellence, and fulfillment centers.
• Flag issues or inconsistencies in data and information to the right owners, then track them through to closure.
• Use data from multiple systems, including Excel, Access, SQL, and other database tools, to prepare ad hoc reports and analysis when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience managing employees and performance.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English.
• Working understanding of logistics operations.
• Comfort with process improvement, change management, and using metrics to improve results.
• Ability to work with data and perform basic reporting or analysis.

Eligibility

Applicants should have at least 1 year of employee and performance management experience. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required, or alternatively 2+ years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience.

Preferred Experience

Additional advantage will be given to candidates with 1+ year of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean methodologies.
