Role Overview
We are looking for an Assets Manager to take ownership of the complete asset lifecycle, from acquisition and registration through to usage, upkeep, and final disposal. This is a full-time position requiring on-site work. The role is centered on keeping asset records accurate, carrying out routine physical checks, ensuring every item is properly tagged and documented, and coordinating maintenance planning to keep company property in good working order.
Key Duties
You will work with finance and operations teams to support budgeting and forecasting, track asset performance, monitor depreciation, and help ensure that assets are used effectively. The position also involves creating and applying asset management policies, overseeing service providers connected to asset maintenance and support, and preparing reports and analysis for management.
Compliance and Controls
The Assets Manager will assist with audits, strengthen internal controls, ensure compliance with relevant rules and company procedures, and identify opportunities to improve processes so assets are protected and utilized more efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid practical experience in asset administration, inventory tracking, and maintaining precise records.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and asset management or ERP tools for monitoring, reporting, and data analysis.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, cost management, fixed-asset accounting, and depreciation.
- Ability to design and enforce procedures, policies, and controls for asset use, servicing, and disposal.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Good communication and people skills for collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and auditors.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, integrity, and reliability when handling company property and confidential data.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred, though relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
- Experience in asset management, logistics, facilities management, or a similar field is an advantage.
- Prepared to travel and perform regular physical inspections of assets when needed.
