Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position is based in Chennai. The Barista will prepare and serve coffee and other drinks, assist with menu food preparation, keep the work area tidy and organized, and help ensure customers have a smooth and pleasant experience. The role also includes following recipes and service standards, using coffee equipment, taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Make coffee and other beverages, including espresso-based drinks and specialty items.
• Use coffee machines and related equipment correctly and consistently.
• Prepare simple food items and handle ingredients with basic kitchen safety practices.
• Take customer orders, answer menu-related questions, and process payments.
• Keep the counter, equipment, and work area clean, safe, and well organized.
• Follow recipes, presentation standards, hygiene rules, and service procedures.
• Support a friendly, efficient team environment and contribute to positive guest interactions.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on barista capability, especially with coffee machines and espresso preparation.
• Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to create a welcoming experience.
• Good communication skills for speaking with guests and coordinating with teammates.
• Basic food preparation ability, including safe handling of ingredients and workspace hygiene.
• Helpful experience in a café or restaurant, though not strictly mandatory.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working shifts, including weekends.
• Experience using POS systems is an added advantage.
• Dependability, teamwork, cleanliness, and enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality are highly valued.
