Role overview
A fast-growing SaaS business is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to support outbound expansion in the US and UK. This role suits a motivated sales professional who enjoys prospecting, starting conversations with new prospects, and turning interest into qualified opportunities. It also offers a clear development path toward an Account Executive position.
What you will do
- Reach out to target prospects in the US and UK markets and initiate meaningful conversations.
- Design, run, and improve outbound prospecting campaigns.
- Investigate accounts and identify the right decision-makers to approach.
- Book qualified meetings and create sales opportunities for the Account Executive team.
- Keep CRM information accurate and up to date, including activity logs.
- Work with the Marketing team to support outbound campaigns and initiatives.
- Hit activity goals and opportunity-generation targets on a consistent basis.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or Sales Development role, with a solid track record in outbound prospecting and pipeline creation. Prior exposure to SaaS or software sales is required. We are seeking someone with a strong hunting mindset, a proactive approach to business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships quickly. Strong organisation, process discipline, and comfort working in a metrics-led environment are also important.
Preferred background
Experience selling to mid-market or enterprise customers is preferred, as is familiarity with US and/or UK markets. An interest in progressing into an Account Executive role will be viewed positively.
