नोकरीचे वर्णन
Context and Work Environment
Mozambique is in a period of major socio-economic and political transition, which adds complexity to procurement operations. Because most materials are imported, sourcing depends heavily on overseas suppliers who often insist on advance payment and bank guarantees, which can slow down project delivery. The local environment is also shaped by foreign exchange shortages and currency fluctuations, both of which affect payment schedules. On top of that, the most qualified suppliers are largely based in the south, while many suppliers in the central and northern areas may not have the capacity to meet the expected standards.
Role Overview
Join TotalEnergies as a Buyer and contribute to the procurement function by managing sourcing, supplier coordination, tendering, and compliance activities.
Key Activities
- Identify and source goods and services by collecting quotations from approved, reliable suppliers, comparing offers, and negotiating to secure the best balance of price, quality, and payment terms.
- Examine and validate purchase requisitions in My eProc, making sure the right material codes are used and that supplier quotations meet compliance requirements and are attached correctly.
- Keep supplier panels competitive by ensuring that each category has at least three qualified suppliers listed in the Approved Suppliers List.
- Plan and run tender activities, including coordination meetings with internal teams, preparation of tender packs, and publication through e-sourcing platforms.
- Assess tender submissions and oversee the award cycle, including the preparation of award and rejection notifications and the filing of complete tender records.
- Update supplier master records accurately, including banking information, contact details, and activity status, and prepare the yearly Approved Suppliers List.
- Carry out yearly supplier reviews and site visits to measure performance, confirm compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and circulate monthly purchasing and due diligence reports, while also monitoring savings achieved through procurement in AGORA.
- Support end users on procurement systems such as My eProc, SAP, and Primavera, while maintaining proper segregation of duties, including supplier account setup and changes.
- Help enforce HSSE and compliance obligations by encouraging a safe workplace, following HSSE policies and legal requirements, and assisting with anti-corruption due diligence.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of MM SAP for purchasing, strong command of Microsoft Office tools, and solid typing accuracy with attention to the legal aspects of procurement. The role also calls for the ability to gather information, make sound decisions, stay organized, and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with My eProc, ARIBA e-sourcing, AGORA, and Primavera is important, as is experience with trading techniques and procurement in a manufacturing environment. Good interpersonal skills and fluency in both Portuguese and English, spoken and written, are required.
