Role overview

This position is for a Cleaner based at Bisham Abbey, Marlow Road, Bisham SL7 1RR. The role offers a competitive salary along with a strong benefits package. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with working hours spread across Monday to Sunday between 8:00am and 5:30pm, and there is some flexibility around scheduling.

In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the centre. You will support housekeeping standards across accommodation, sports, conference, shower, toilet, and public areas, while also being ready to assist in other areas such as front of house when the business needs it.

Main duties

• Keep accommodation, sports, conference, and public spaces clean and well-presented to a high standard.
• Carry out everyday cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, and bin emptying.
• Clean toilets, showers, and changing areas thoroughly and safely.
• Prepare guest rooms to a high standard for both new arrivals and returning guests.
• Complete deeper cleaning work when needed, including carpet shampooing and descaling.
• Work quickly and carefully to reduce disruption for guests.
• Update the Head Housekeeper when rooms are ready.
• Use and store cleaning materials, tools, and chemicals safely.
• Provide extra cleaning support wherever required.

What the role requires

You should be dependable, self-motivated, and committed to high standards of cleanliness. The ideal person will pay close attention to detail, take pride in their work, and be comfortable balancing guest needs with day-to-day cleaning tasks. Experience in cleaning public buildings or large multi-site facilities is preferred. You should also be able to work well on your own as well as within a team.
