Role overview
This opportunity is for an experienced Client Delivery Director to join a major global consultancy in London. The position focuses on strengthening and expanding strategic relationships with banking and broader financial services clients. It is a senior leadership role that requires a mix of delivery discipline, commercial thinking, and enough technical depth to engage credibly with senior client leaders and delivery teams alike.
The successful candidate will be expected to operate comfortably at every level of the client organisation. That means partnering with CIOs and executive stakeholders on strategic priorities while also stepping into the detail when programmes encounter delivery issues.
What you will be doing
- Oversee the delivery of complex, large-scale technology programmes covering several workstreams and multiple technology areas.
- Serve as a dependable adviser to senior client contacts, including CIOs and technology leadership teams.
- Build and deepen client relationships while spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts.
- Contribute to revenue, commercial, and account growth objectives.
- Step in during programme difficulties with a practical, hands-on approach to help remove blockers and keep delivery on track.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and wider technology teams to define and deliver robust solutions.
What you need
- A strong consulting background, ideally with direct experience in client-facing technology delivery and account expansion.
- Substantial experience in financial services, with banking exposure being essential.
- Broad technical awareness across applications, infrastructure, architecture, and software engineering.
- A proven history of leading major transformation programmes involving multiple technologies and stakeholders.
- The ability to balance strategic stakeholder engagement with close operational oversight.
- Evidence of success against growth, commercial, or revenue targets.
- Confident leadership presence with the credibility to influence, challenge, and build trust.
- A resilient mindset and the ability to handle complexity and difficult situations effectively.
Location and working style
This role is based in London and offers hybrid working.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is £120,000 to £130,000.
