Its work spans four main areas: building engineering, planning and infrastructure, strategy and advisory, and commissioning, handover and asset management. Role Purpose
This position sits within a multidisciplinary project team and focuses on site-based commissioning support. The role involves checking site activities, confirming that test outcomes are accurate, and building practical knowledge of commissioning methods and engineering test procedures while working under supervision.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should have a background in MEP or building services engineering. Acceptable qualifications include a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
Equivalent college-level routes are also relevant, including HNC, HND, or similar diplomas, as well as MEP or building services engineering certificates such as ONC, OND, or comparable trade qualifications with City & Guilds certification.
Experience expectations vary by qualification level: at least 2 years of related experience with an engineering degree, 3 years with a college diploma, or 4 years with a college or trade certificate.
Preferred Accreditations
The following credentials are advantageous, though not mandatory: Incorporated Engineer status, CSA Grade 3 qualification, and commissioning certifications such as BCA, ACG, or NEBB.
General Expectations
The role calls for moderate capability across several competencies. The successful candidate should be able to manage tasks with guidance and demonstrate a willingness to build expertise over time.
Key Responsibilities
The role supports senior staff in commissioning-related work and requires active participation in site inspections, documentation review, and coordination with project stakeholders.
