Overview
Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), part of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., is hiring a Day Porter to support janitorial operations and facility upkeep at a school location. This role focuses on keeping the site clean, safe, and pleasant for students, staff, and visitors while supporting high service standards.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out day-to-day cleaning duties in classrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, entry areas, and shared spaces.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, floors, and toilets, and restock restroom supplies when needed.
- Collect and dispose of trash, clear waste containers, and remove graffiti when required.
- Use cleaning chemicals and products carefully and follow all safety procedures.
- Inform supervisors about broken equipment, supply shortages, or product issues.
- Follow infection-prevention and proper handwashing practices to maintain sanitation.
- Meet expected cleaning quality and customer service standards on an ongoing basis.
- Handle other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior custodial, housekeeping, or janitorial experience in a commercial environment is preferred.
- You should be able to understand and carry out spoken and written instructions.
- Comfort with repetitive, routine work is important.
- After training, you are expected to complete duties independently.
- Reliability and punctual attendance are required.
- You must be able to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours per day.
- The role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
- You should be able to work around food and cleaning chemicals.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements may be needed based on state, local, or customer rules.
- A criminal background check must be provided.
