Delivery Driver

Role overview

This position involves picking up and delivering customer orders from Sherwin-Williams stores by driving company vans or pickup trucks. The driver is expected to make sure each order is assembled accurately, handled safely, and delivered to the right customer on time. The role also includes contributing to customer satisfaction and supporting store operations when needed.

Work location

The selected candidate will be assigned to Store #8740 at 510 Bryne Drive, Units F & G, Barrie, Ontario L4N 9P6.

Key duties

• Plan and prepare outgoing deliveries so they match customer needs and are handled as efficiently as possible.
• Load customer orders onto the vehicle correctly and securely.
• Complete all required delivery paperwork and related forms.
• Transport and drop off goods safely, accurately, and within scheduled timeframes.
• Keep the store vehicle in good condition and report maintenance or service concerns to a supervisor.
• Deliver strong customer service by responding to questions and addressing complaints professionally.
• Follow assigned routes and stay on schedule.
• Comply with all transportation regulations and maintain a clean, safe driving record.
• Prepare delivery-related reports and supporting documents as needed.
• Use equipment and machinery such as cars, trucks, forklifts, and similar tools.
• Support store operations with additional tasks, including warehouse work, tinting and mixing customer orders, and assisting customers at the counter.

Minimum qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the country of employment.
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.
• Must be able, with or without accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Preferred background

• High school diploma or Certificate of Adult Education Completion (CAEC) is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience using material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, or conveyor belts is preferred.
• Previous experience selling paint or paint-related products is an advantage.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in more than one language is preferred.
