Role Overview

This is a full-time Electrical Engineer position based in Auckland Central. The role sits within a design and consulting engineering environment, where you will develop and assess electrical systems, create power distribution solutions, and make sure designs align with the applicable standards. You will work closely with project teams on renewable energy assignments, support power system design oversight, and help ensure strong system performance. The position also includes contributing to feasibility studies, preparing technical documents, and advising on efficient and sustainable design practices.

Qualifications

• Capability in electrical design, including the creation and refinement of schematics and detailed drawings.
• Good grasp of electrical engineering principles and their practical applications.
• Working knowledge of power distribution, including grid connection and load balancing.
• Understanding of power systems, such as analysis, operation, and ongoing upkeep.
• Exposure to renewable energy technologies and methods.
• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Ability to use relevant software for electrical modelling and simulation.
• Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and teamwork skills.
• Prior involvement in renewable energy projects will be considered an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of local electrical regulations and compliance requirements.
