Electrical Inspector

Overview

Intertek Italia is looking for an experienced Electrical Inspector to take on flexible, project-based assignments in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is an ad hoc freelance opportunity for a qualified electrical professional who can support inspection and testing work on site.

What you will do

• Carry out inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems in line with relevant national and international standards.
• Review sites and prepare clear inspection findings and reports.
• Check that safety, compliance, and quality expectations are being met.
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to plan and align inspection visits.

Profile we are looking for

• You should be a certified electrician, electrical engineer, or hold an equivalent technical qualification.
• Applicants need hands-on experience with industrial or commercial electrical inspections.
• Working knowledge of German and international electrical standards, such as VDE and IEC, is important.
• You should be comfortable with inspection documentation and formal reporting practices.
• Strong German fluency is required, and basic English ability is an advantage.
• A valid driving licence and the ability to travel within NRW are necessary.
• You must already be registered as a freelancer in Germany, or be prepared to register.
