Role overview
As an ER Adviser, you will act as a trusted workplace relations specialist for small and medium-sized businesses across a range of industries. The position is designed for someone who can deliver clear, commercially sensible advice and help clients navigate complex employee relations matters.
Key responsibilities
- Provide practical HR and employee relations advice, mainly through phone and email support.
- Guide clients on issues such as discipline, performance management, workplace investigations, terminations, and compliance with employment law.
- Support businesses in handling workplace relations challenges in a way that is solution-focused and easy for clients to understand.
- Collaborate with experienced team members in a supportive, social, and team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Prior exposure to award classifications, the Fair Work Act, the National Employment Standards, or enterprise agreements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain advice clearly and commercially.
- Capability to assist clients with complex workplace relations matters, including grievances, award interpretation, performance issues, disciplinary procedures, investigations, and legal compliance.
- Ability to work in a professional advisory environment and contribute positively to a collaborative team.
