Role Overview

The Procurement Executive will handle buying activities, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive cost-efficient sourcing to support business goals. The position calls for strong capability in sourcing, contract negotiation, procurement analysis, and supplier performance tracking. The role works closely with teams across supply chain, production, finance, marketing, R&D, logistics, and warehousing to keep procurement aligned with business needs.

Digital Procurement and Analytics

Use MRP tools within ERP systems to support material availability.
Contribute to the shift toward IBP solutions for scenario planning and better decision-making.
Improve SRM portals, including P2P and ASN visibility, for raw material and finished goods tracking, along with automated reconciliation.
Apply Power BI and other analytics tools to prepare procurement reports, monitor supplier performance, and study cost patterns.
Support automation and other digital transformation efforts in procurement workflows and supplier portals.

Procurement Planning and Strategy

Plan sourcing needs for raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect goods and services.
Manage supplier discussions, contract handling, and performance reviews.
Work with internal stakeholders on alternate vendor development, MOQ reduction, supplier proximity, and CRM projects.

Supplier Management and Compliance

Develop and maintain dependable relationships with key suppliers to support in-house, 3P, and P2P operations.
Perform supplier audits and assessments to check compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Create risk mitigation and contingency plans to reduce the impact of supply disruptions.

Operational Execution and Governance

Ensure procurement follows policy requirements, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulations.
Partner with internal teams to understand material and service requirements.
Review procurement spend to identify opportunities for savings.
Keep accurate documentation for purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with supply chain, production, R&D, and finance teams to align procurement with business priorities.
Support new product development by sourcing new materials and packaging ideas.
Work with logistics and warehousing teams to maintain smooth inbound material movement.
Contribute to sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives.

Experience and Education

The role typically requires 2 to 4 years of experience in supply chain management, with exposure to process improvement and operational excellence. A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is expected.

Key Strengths

Ideal candidates bring a record of driving continuous improvement, solid analytical ability, familiarity with data tools, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-moving environment. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methods is an advantage.
