Fresher Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role Overview

This part-time remote position is designed for a fresher-level Data Analyst who will support data-informed decisions for community finance programs. The role is suited to early-career candidates who want to build practical analytics experience while contributing to projects with social impact.

What You’ll Do

You will help gather, clean, and organize information from internal and external sources, then use that data to produce simple analyses that support reporting and planning. The work includes building basic data structures, summarizing findings in a clear format, and creating tables or charts that make results easy to understand.

You’ll also work alongside senior colleagues to check data quality, review interpretations, and keep documentation of the methods used. A key part of the role is translating analytical findings into language that non-technical stakeholders can easily follow, while maintaining accurate and orderly data records.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have a solid analytical mindset and the ability to spot patterns in numbers. Comfort with foundational analytics tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software is expected. A working understanding of descriptive statistics and simple statistical testing will be useful.

Some familiarity with data modeling concepts is preferred, though candidates willing to learn are also welcome. Strong written and spoken communication skills are important, especially for explaining technical results to people without a data background. An academic background in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is relevant, and recent graduates as well as final-year students are encouraged to apply.

Success in this role also depends on attention to detail, a methodical approach to solving problems, and good time management in a remote part-time environment. Interest in community development, microfinance, or social impact work will be considered an advantage. Experience with tools such as basic SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or R is helpful but not mandatory.
