Role overview
Altocare is hiring an entry-level Healthcare Data Coordinator to help gather, check, analyze, and report on operational and outcomes data across the business. This position is a strong fit for someone who is detail-focused, analytical, and eager to grow a career in healthcare operations and data analysis. The role supports accurate recordkeeping across internal systems and provides leadership with information that can improve performance, decisions, and client results.
This is a fully on-site role based at 4851 Lyndon B. Johnson Fwy, Suite 1150, Dallas, TX 75244. The listed pay range is $23.00 to $24.00 per hour.
What you will do
- Reach out to Altocare offices, clients, family members, payors, and providers to confirm details and collect the information needed to complete client records.
- Collect, organize, and check operational and outcomes data from both internal systems and outside sources, with attention to missing or conflicting information tied to outcomes such as hospitalizations, service interruptions, and care terminations.
- Compare information across internal platforms to make sure records match and data is entered correctly.
- Review the data to spot inconsistencies, patterns, risks, and areas where processes can be improved.
- Build summaries, reports, and presentations for leadership and other stakeholders, highlighting findings and useful insights.
- Use Microsoft Office tools to sort, analyze, and report data effectively.
- Work with approved productivity and AI-based tools to improve efficiency, while independently confirming accuracy.
- Handle multiple assignments at once, stay on schedule, and raise questions or concerns to supervisors early when needed.
- Follow HIPAA rules and Altocare privacy standards whenever handling protected health information.
- Support other data, reporting, or operational work as business needs change.
What the employer is looking for
This role is intended for candidates starting their careers in healthcare administration, data analytics, business operations, or similar fields. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and candidates currently pursuing one may also be considered. The company is looking for someone with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, excellent organization, and a high level of accuracy.
Applicants should be comfortable communicating professionally with clients, families, providers, payors, and internal teams. Strong written and verbal communication is important, along with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and keep track of deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is expected, and the candidate should be able to learn new software platforms, including EMR systems, quickly.
Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude is useful for non-PHI tasks, but the person must understand the boundaries around privacy and data handling.
