Role overview

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Ladurée and plays a key role in setting a refined, welcoming tone from the moment they arrive. This position focuses on greeting visitors, coordinating reservations and seating, and supporting a polished guest experience that reflects the brand’s premium standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive guests courteously and present a professional, friendly first impression.
• Track reservations, organize the waiting list, and keep seating flow well managed.
• Guide guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Work with the restaurant team to improve table rotation and seating efficiency.
• Handle incoming phone calls, answer questions, and process booking requests.
• Keep reservation details, guest preferences, and special notes accurately recorded.
• Maintain a tidy, orderly, and inviting reception and waiting area.
• Help guests with directions, menu details, and information about restaurant services.
• Address guest issues with professionalism and involve management when needed.
• Support VIP hosting, special occasions, and promotional activities.
• Follow Ladurée grooming, presentation, and professionalism standards at all times.
• Coordinate closely with management and service staff to deliver a smooth overall guest journey.

Requirements

• Secondary school completion or an equivalent qualification; hospitality studies are considered a plus.
• Prior experience in hostessing, front-desk reception, or a guest-facing hospitality role is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Customer-focused attitude with a polished and professional approach.
• Comfort working in a busy environment while staying detail-oriented.
• Good planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reservation tools.
• Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
