Job brief

As an IT Technical Support Engineer, you will keep the organization’s technology environment running smoothly by managing, maintaining, and repairing systems and assets. The role centers on fault diagnosis, network troubleshooting, and the installation and configuration of hardware and software.

Key responsibilities

Set up and configure employee workstations, software, and peripheral devices.
Help safeguard the integrity and security of systems across the company.
Evaluate hardware and software products for possible future procurement.
Deliver technical support to staff members.
Track server health and data link connectivity.
Keep an up-to-date inventory of computer-related supplies.
Assist with data backup operations and administration.
Oversee voice recording systems and call retrieval processes.
Support ticker systems and data wall display administration when needed.
May be responsible for monitoring data center equipment such as air conditioning, UPS units, and safety equipment.
Monitor security camera systems as required.
May assist with domain administration tasks.
Work collaboratively with department personnel.
Contribute to the creation and improvement of policies and procedures.
Follow company policies, standards, and procedures at all times.
Carry out other duties and assignments as directed.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or another related engineering discipline.
At least 5 years of professional experience.
Practical experience with Windows and Mac environments.
Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP networking and switches.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
Strong experience in installing, managing, and troubleshooting Windows systems.
Intermediate familiarity with CCTV systems.
Experience working with vendors for IT purchases and services.
Experience managing inventory, contracts, and other official documentation.
Experience administering network and system monitoring tools.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365.
Experience handling IT assets.
Strong technical background in IT hardware and software support.
Experience coordinating data center-related activities.
Knowledge of access control systems.
Preferred certifications include MCSE, CCNA, and MCSA.
