About the role
This position sits within a global telecom environment focused on building better connectivity and delivering meaningful impact through reliable network operations. The role supports the maintenance and day-to-day performance of IP/MPLS infrastructure while contributing to a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and service quality.
What you will do
You will be responsible for supporting IP/MPLS operational activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and helping ensure that network services remain stable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
- Oversee operational delivery for the IP/MPLS network so that end-to-end KPI targets are met, including preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance, timely software updates as recommended by vendors, and strong network security practices.
- Contribute to the development and future direction of the IP network environment by advising on suitable modern solutions, maintaining accurate network schematics and configurations, and supporting automation efforts.
- Monitor critical services and network links closely, making sure alerts are triggered when agreed thresholds are reached to support timely upgrades and cost-effective planning.
- Lead the execution of network operation processes through clear documentation, implementation, and compliance with policies and procedures across alarm handling, trouble resolution, preventive and reactive maintenance, change control, business continuity, incident management, escalation, reporting, root cause analysis, and improvement recommendations.
- Support contractors during IP-related work and ensure operational activities are carried out effectively and safely.
Skills and competencies
- Strong commercial understanding and business awareness
- Ability to diagnose issues quickly and resolve problems efficiently

- Hands-on IP network design and troubleshooting capability
- Good teamwork and stakeholder coordination
Qualifications and experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications operations
- A university degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience working with multiple vendors and partners such as Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei
- Working knowledge of mobile telecom network architectures and technologies
- Practical experience in IP services operations
- Understanding of network security principles
- Professional certifications in IP-related areas such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, CCNSP, or CCNSE
- Availability to work beyond standard hours when needed
- Willingness to travel frequently, including on short notice
